Today many couples wish to commemorate their marriage with a handmade wedding certificate, signed by all of the guests at their wedding. This springs from the long-standing Quaker wedding certificate custom, wherein the guests serve as witnesses to the marriage, and also has echoes of the Jewish ketubah tradition. The certificate is sometimes hung by the door so that if one of the partners is thinking of leaving he or she will see not only their vows, but all the people who are there to help and support them during difficult times.
Ordering information for these certificates is available as a printable PDF at left, and on the pages linked below.
